From Bali

There is plenty of travel agents and fast boat operators to choose from when booking your trip to the Gilis. Your travel agent will usually include shuttle bus transfer to the harbor, with pick-up at your hotel early morning. Prices and availability vary depending of the season so make sure to book at least 48h in advance. If you want to do the journey by yourself—boats depart from Padang Bai harbor in eastern Bali in the mornings, around 09:30am. Some companies offer a late departure around 11:30am. The journey on the seas to the Gilis takes approximately 2h.

From Lombok

If you're traveling from Lombok, there are fast boats and public boats departing from Bangsal harbour in the north-west. The "Public Boats" are a budget friendly way to travel and you buy your ticket directly from the small counter by the parking lot. The price is around 35.000rp per person to Gili Trawangan. The public boats depart regularly every day from early morning until around 05:00pm. The transfer takes approximately 30 minutes.

From the Nusa Islands

On the day of your travel make your way to Penida, the big island. Fast boats to the Gili islands depart from Toyapakeh beach in the north-west. There are many fast boat operators to choose from and most departures are between 09:00AM and 11:00AM. Prices and availability vary depending of the season so make sure to book at least 48h in advance. Your travel agent will provide you with the exact departure point for your boat. The journey on the seas takes approximately 2.5h.

Already in Gili

When you've already arrived in Gili Trawangan, head towards the middle of the Island simply by following a map (It’s a 15 minute walk). If you're carrying a lot of luggage, we suggest you jump on one of the Islands horse drawn "taxis" and they will bring you home. If you're coming from the sunset beach-side of the Island, locate the short cut passing through the Island and head inland—Lost Paradise is 5 minutes away.
